Package Itinerary
Day 2 - Azoueïga:
Depart Nouakchott in the morning to Azoueïga, an ancient trade route town. Experience the magic of camping under the stars in the golden Sahara dunes.
Day 4 - Oudane:
Depart for the historical castle of Ouadane. On the way, stop to admire prehistoric rock paintings, and explore the Guelb er Richât (Eye of the Desert). Spend the night camping in the tranquil desert.
Day 6 - M’heireth and Tijrit Oases:
Depart for the M’heireth Oasis (Gilta) for lunch amid serene palm groves. Continue to the Tirjit Oasis, before returning to Atar for an overnight stay in a hotel.
Day 1 - Nouakchott:
Begin in Mauritania’s capital, visiting the famous camel and fish markets and a local museum to immerse yourself in the city’s vibrant culture. Spend the night in a nice hotel.
Day 8 - Atlantic Coast:
Continue to Shami, arriving at the Atlantic coast. Spend the night in front of the ocean, enjoying spectacular views and the refreshing sea breeze.
Day 10 - Return to Nouakchott:
Return to Nouakchott and visit artisanal and souvenir shops to take home authentic memories of your Mauritanian journey.
Day 3 - Atar:
Journey to Atar through the Adrar plateau. Explore the local market of Atar, where traditional crafts and daily life come alive. Stay overnight in a comfortable hotel.
Day 5 - Chinguetti:
Travel to Chinguetti, stopping at the desert village of Tanishor, where locals farm despite encroaching dunes. Continue to Chinguetti to explore its ancient libraries and wander historic streets. Stay overnight in a local hotel.
Day 7 - Ben Amira:
Travel to Choum, stopping to marvel at the colossal Ben Amira Monolith and witnessing the iconic iron ore train crossing the desert. Spend the night nearby, surrounded by the quiet desert landscape.
Day 9 - Banc d’Arguin:
Explore the fishing villages within Banc d’Arguin National Park, learning about traditional coastal life. Stay overnight in Mahariat, a stunning location with panoramic views of desert dunes meeting the ocean.
